JUNIOR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Girls to Queens is happy to announce our new junior volunteer program that will help high school girls gain experience for their high school resumes. Volunteers will help to implement a variety of activities during the annual Girls to Queens #CROWNED college immersion experience. Volunteers are not paid, but will have the opportunity to participate in some workshops and receive free room and board.

Number of volunteer opportunities available: 2

Duties can include:

being group lead for a team of middle school girls
helping girls to quickly check-in and check-out during drop off
leading and managing an icebreaker during the event kick off
assisting staff and presenters in setting up and running workshops

Position requirements:

must have completed at least one summer with Girls to Queens #CROWNED program
must stay onsite and be available for the entire duration of the program, June 25-28, 2020 at North Carolina Central University
must at least be a rising sophomore in high school
must have parent’s permission to volunteer
must be a critical thinker with a desire to learn

To be considered for this volunteer opportunity, you must have your parent’s/guardian’s permission and submit the volunteer application no later than April 30th. Selection will be determined based on quality of essays in application.

Medical Release
